Problems running Sol 0

The game crashes when [...]

The Unity engine is very stable. All crashes I have seen thus far have been due to trying to run DirectX 11 features on computers that only support DirectX 9. If Sol 0 crashes for you, try the following steps:

1. Create a shortcut of the Sol 0.exe (right click the exe and select 'create shortcut')
2. Right click the shortcut and select 'properties'
3. In the 'Target' field you should have something like:

"C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Projects\Unity Pro 5.0\Builds\Windows64\Sol 0.exe"

Add -force-d3d9 at the end AFTER the closing double quotes so that the full line reads (including a space between the double quote and first dash):

"C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Projects\Unity Pro 5.0\Builds\Windows64\Sol 0.exe" -force-d3d9

The files have not been correctly extracted from the .rar file. Confirm that you are not accidentally trying to run the game from within the .rar archive, and that all files are fully extracted. If this does not resolve the problem, it is likely your .rar program is out of date (this does happen). Try an alternative program like WinRar or 7zip.
